Mobile SCIF Trailers

Clegg Industries builds mobile SCIF trailers in our Victoria, TX shop. We build the SCIF room and the trailer under the same roof. You get one contract and one team, from the hitch to the SCIF door.

We have built for every branch of the U.S. military, federal agencies, defense contractors, and NASA’s space shuttle program since 1979. When you call us, a person picks up.

What Is a Mobile SCIF Trailer?

A mobile SCIF trailer is a SCIF room built onto a trailer. You tow it where the work is, level it, power it up, and go to work.

A room is not a SCIF because of how it was built. It becomes a SCIF only when a U.S. government security office accredits it. No builder can grant that approval. We can’t either. So the first question is what government program or contract needs you to handle SCI.

One Shop Builds the SCIF and the Trailer

Most SCIF builders only build the room. They buy a trailer from someone else, or they ask you to. That means two companies, two contracts, and two sets of answers when something doesn’t fit.

Clegg builds both. Our welders build the trailer and the steel enclosure. Our crew builds the shielding, power, HVAC, and interior on top of it. The same people plan the weight, the hitch, and the floor plan.

We have built custom trailers for decades. That includes command trailers, mobile labs, hazmat response trailers, and helicopter transport trailers. Your mobile SCIF trailer comes out of that same shop.

  • Hydraulic leveling for uneven ground

How a Mobile SCIF Trailer Project Works

The steps match any SCIF project. The government need comes first. Your security team weighs in before the design is final. We build to the approved plan, outside testers check the work, and the government grants accreditation.

Building the trailer first and asking for approval later is how SCIF projects go wrong.

More Trailers From the Same Shop

Most of the trailers we build are not SCIFs. We build command centers, mobile labs, shielded test trailers, and disaster relief units for military, government, and private clients. If you need a trailer, you are in the right shop.

What to Have Ready When You Call

  • Is there a government contract, program, or agency that requires SCI?
  • Who is your government sponsor or security office?
  • Does your company already hold the Facility Clearance it needs?
  • What will tow the trailer?
  • Where will it park, and will it have power on site?
  • How many people will work inside?

Don’t have every answer? Call anyway. We will help you sort out which questions matter for your project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my mobile SCIF trailer accredited when you deliver it?
No. Only a U.S. government security authority can accredit a SCIF. We build to the plan your security team approves and hand you third-party test reports.
Can you build the trailer too, or do I need to supply one?
We build it. That is the main reason clients come to us. We build the trailer and the SCIF in the same shop under one contract.
Can it run without power on site?
Yes. Project №565 runs on a 30 kW generator. Project №532 has a 150-amp RF power filtering system for incoming power. We plan power around where your trailer will sit.
Can you add antennas and leveling?
Yes. We have built in hydraulic leveling, welded antenna mounts, a locking mast, and shielded antenna pass-throughs.
Do you build mobile SCIF trailers for clients outside Texas?
Yes. We ship across the country and overseas.
