Self-Contained Drone Service Workshop with On-Site Parts
Fabrication
This custom-engineered 20-foot ISO shipping container was designed as a fully self-contained mobile drone
maintenance and repair facility. Built to support field operations, the workshop allows technicians to
inspect, diagnose, repair, and return unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to service while also manufacturing
replacement components on-site.
By incorporating multiple 3D printers and a CNC milling machine, the facility can produce custom and
replacement parts as needed, reducing downtime and eliminating the need to wait for replacement
components. The result is a highly capable, climate-controlled workshop that brings repair capabilities
directly to the mission.
Interior Construction
The container was completely outfitted to provide a durable, insulated, and professional work environment
suitable for precision repair operations.

- Spray foam insulated container underside while maintaining forklift pocket accessibility
- Plywood wall substrate with FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) wall finish

Utility Room
A separate utility compartment houses the facility's support systems, allowing maintenance personnel to
work in a clean, organized environment.

- Friedrich 35,000 BTU Environmental Control Unit (ECU) with 5 kW electric heat
- DuraWatt 15 kW generator
- Generator fuel system
- Main electrical distribution panel
- Supporting utility equipment
Drone Repair Workshop
The primary workspace is configured to maximize efficiency during drone maintenance and repair
operations.
Features include:
- Heavy-duty custom steel workbench for CNC milling operations
- Multiple 3D printers mounted on custom stainless steel shelving for on-demand fabrication of
replacement components
- Stainless steel workbenches providing four technician workstations
- Organized workspace for diagnostics, electronics repair, mechanical assembly, testing, and
component replacement

The workshop is equipped with a complete electrical system capable of operating from either onboard
generator power or external shore power.
