Mobile Ambulance Simulator Trailer
Clegg Industries, Inc. Job # 390
Clegg Industries custom designed a Mobile Ambulance Simulation Trailer for Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska.
The Purpose of this trailer is to bring high fidelity EMS simulation capability to the rural communities of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska.
It will also provide a safe environment for medics to experience high complexity calls that are low frequency due to their relatively low call volumes.
Each of the ambulance service areas will have trained simulation facilitators that will run the training sessions.
These facilitators will receive training on the equipment and will be empowered to deliver pre established, simulation based training.
The Mobile Ambulance Simulation Trailer will also be used as a recruitment tool, displayed at various community events with the intention of both raising the public’s awareness of their EMS capabilities, and to raise interest from the public to seek out employment as an on-call EMS responder.
Varoius Guarmard simulators and recording equipment.
A walk on roof with extendable safety rails to allow for an elevated viewing point for field triage, and extrication scenarios.
Given the darkness of our winter months, extendable LED field lighting has been installed to illuminate the training field.
The unit is also equipped with a 10K diesel generator so that it may operate independent of an outside power source.
Two ESPAR heaters and heavy insulation to keep participants warm during times of extreme cold.
Two separate compartments within the trailer accommodate a near replica of their ambulance's patient care compartment.
A front compartment is the units control room where the facilitators will run the given scenario.
The two compartments are separated by a sound deadening bulk head wall and a one way glass window.
